Additionally, I played guitar for the Philadelphia-based group, The Love Committee, during the seventies.

Lou Lanza is a native Philadelphian who thrives on the cultural and musical heritage of that city. Lou has music in his genes – an opera singer grandfather, a classical violinist father, and a pianist/organist & vocalist mother. His jazz influence came from another of his relatives, Vince Trombetta, a saxophonist & arranger who served as musical director of The Mike Douglas Show. Lou’s music teachers include Carlo Menotti, Jimmy Bruno, Michael Leonard, and Larry McKenna. His live performances in Philadelphia, New York, London, Los Angeles, & Las Vegas, to mention a few, have earned him the admiration of many industry professionals, colleagues, and fans. Lou’s recordings include: the road not taken, corner pocket, Shadows and Echoes, opening Doors: A Jazz Tribute to The Doors, an intimate portrait in blue, and Scenes From An Italian: The Billy Joel Project. He was named the top male jazz vocalist of 2004 in the reader’s poll of Rio de Janeiro’s Tribuna da Imprensa for the album opening Doors. Lou is considered to be among the top 500 jazz vocalists of all time by noted jazz critic, historian, and author Scott Yanow and is listed as such in his book The Jazz Singers. Several years ago featured the premiere of the original jazz opera, The Real Book of Gig, for which Lou penned the lyrics and libretto with composer Tony Gairo. Jazz journalist Alex Henderson wrote in his review that “The November 2011 presentation of ‘The Real Book of Gig’ was a creative success for Lanza.” Lou is currently working on several projects for release, most notably Live @ Musikfest. He is also working on some sacred works as well as setting William Shakespeare’s sonnets and poetry to music.

Celtic Fiddling
Baltic Celtic is comprised of Kaitlyn Likas and John Bimbiras. Their music and dancing reflects their shared Irish/Lithuanian ancestry. John Bimbiras is a guitarist, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist from Baltimore, MD. He has been active as a performer since the age of twelve, playing at prestigious venues throughout the DMV, NYC, and Austin, TX. His influences draw from a vast array of genres and styles including rock, jazz, blues, folk, Celtic, and Latin music. Currently, Bimbiras is also a Ph.D. candidate in ethnomusicology at the University of Texas at Austin. He has produced two albums of historically informed Dominican music: Rafael Petitón Guzmán: a Dominican Musical Treasure on the World Stage by the Dominican Studies Institute Orchestra and Del Burro al Subway by Sofrito y Su Melao. In Baltic Celtic, a new project put together with violinist Kaitlyn Likas, they explore their shared Irish and Lithuanian heritage through this musical collaboration.

Brian Height
It was Brian’s musical up bringing that would lay the foundation for his future. While attending Morris Hills High School, he became involved in numerous ensembles, from band to choir, performing in a variety of venues including community events, the New Jersey All State Choir, performances at churches, and a special performance at Carnegie Hall under composer John Rutter. By the time Brian graduated, he was instilled with a passion to teach and perform.
In order to solidify his musical training, Brian enrolled in Rowan University where he earned a BA degree in Music Education and Jazz Studies. In 2013, Brian received his Masters in Jazz Studies from Rowan University. While working on his Masters Degree, several of his compositions were featured during the Rowan Jazz Festival. His work can be heard with the Earl Phillips Big Band, Optimism and the Overbrook High School Jazz Band. He took advantage of the many performance opportunities available to him including appearances with the concert choir, orchestra, Atlantic Brass Band, concert band, small group jazz ensembles, and lab band. While at Rowan he had the privilege of studying with Dr. Ben Christy, Chris DiSanto, Denis DiBlasio, Tony Salicandro, Chris Farr, and Eric Alexander. From 1994-1996, he was a performing member of the Hawthorne Caballeros Drum and Bugle Corps.
Brian also had the pleasure of performing with distinguished artists such as: Denis DiBlasio, Wynton Marsalis, Clark Terry, Roger Neuman, Duffy Jackson, Mike Davis, Steve Weist, Pete Olstad, Eric Alexander, George Rabbi, Darryl Hall, Jim Ridl, James Moody, Suzanne Cloud, Dave Boyer, Mark Gross, Winston Byrd, Little Anthony and the Imperials and Chubby Checker to name a few. He continues to perform in different bands and performing groups in the Philadelphia Metro Area. He has performed with notable groups such as the Jersey Pops, the Jersey Shore Pops, Don’t Call me Francis, Alan Quinn Big Band, Mark Jackson and Fresh Sound, The Untouchables, Cornerstone, Groove Heart, Where’s Pete Band, Back 2 Life, Clifford Brown Festival Big Band, Will Power (Tower of Power Tribute Band), Optimism and the Earl Phillips Big Band.
Brian has appeared as a sideman for several recording artists. In 2005, Brian released a CD entitled Heart of Worship.

Bruce Gardner is a singer/songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist and architect of The Bruce Gardner Experience. Born in a suburb of Maryland, Bruce discovered his love of music at a young age listening to his family’s eclectic collection of old LP’s from all genres. In his teens he played with local Go-Go music bands while interning as a recording engineer/producer at Bebop Productions Inc. where he earned his first professional recording credits as a producer and session musician working on the album “Plays With Toys” by Imago/Chrysalis recording artist BASEHEAD.

Cinda Smith is an award-winning singer-songwriter based in Kensington, Maryland, renowned for her lyrical style and unique blend of harmonica and ukulele. Jade Anaiah Wesley has been hailed for her “deep rich tone” and having a “very expressive and engaging” stage presence by Voice Faculty from Southeastern University and the University of Montevallo. She is internationally awarded across the United Kingdom and around the United States including New York, Dallas, and Washington D.C for musical theatre and classical. Wesley is studying Vocal Performance with a focus in Violin at the University of North Texas College of Music. Originally from Glassboro, NJ, Wesley started her studies at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University in Orchestral Music Education and Violin Performance before transferring to UNT.
Oscars Morning Special singing Oscar-nominated and winning songs. Recently, she made her festival debut in April performing at Eclipse Utopia with Australian Violinist Ally Hocking Howe. Wesley will also be performing in the Jazz Aspen Festival in the newly made Afro-Cuban Session.

Pete hosts the Open Mic at Ventnor Coffee in Ventnor, New Jersey, and frequently performs at various bars, restaurants, and private events across Southern New Jersey. Comedian D. Lo hails from Baltimore, MD. Always a jokester, D. Lo stumbled into the comedy world in November 2015 after a leg injury left her out of work.
In her short comedy career, she has won more than 30 competitions and was a finalist in Magooby’s New Comedian of the Year Competition. She has headlined various shows in Baltimore, DC, Delaware, Florida, Chicago, Milwaukee, Ohio, NYC, Alabama, Portland, Las Vegas, and Jamaica.
D. Lo is a regular host at Magooby’s Joke House and was a finalist in Kevin Hart’s Hart of the City on Comedy Central. She was also a featured act in the 2019 Black Girl Giggles Festival, the 2019 Baltimore Comedy Festival, the 2019 DC Comedy Festival, and played an integral role in the 2021 Black Women in Comedy Festival.
She has expanded her experience by performing at notable comedy clubs such as Magooby’s Joke House, The Stand, DC Improv, Riddles, and many more. More recently, she has shared the stage with comedy greats like Mark Normand, Sam Morrill, Roy Wood Jr., Damon Williams, Just Nesh, Gina Brillon, and Michael Rapaport.

Liliana Ruiz specializes in Classical Spanish with castanets, Folklore and Flamenco.
Raised in Mexico City in a Spanish culture-based home, she started dancing classical ballet at the age of six. Shortly thereafter, she began Classical Spanish dance and Flamenco. She was inspired by her family’s deep-rooted passion for the arts.
Ms. Ruiz has performed Classical Spanish dances with the two-time Grammy Award-winning pianist Peter Nero and the Philly POP’s at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, as well as with the Atlantic Bay Symphony, the Pottstown Symphony, the Tulsa Symphony, and the NJ Patriots Symphony directed by Dan Spalding. Liliana danced, choreographed and created a flamenco character of Carmen with the Virtuosi Orchestra of Philadelphia directed by Daniel Spalding.
